Milly Jackson Yoga ("we", "us") is a yoga teacher in Brighton & Hove. We are the controller of the personal information we collect through this website and our classes, and we handle it in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and the rights you have.
2. Information We Collect
Messages: When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, subject and message.
Health Information: Any health conditions, injuries or pregnancy you tell us about before a class, so we can teach you safely.
Usage Data: Which pages are visited, how visitors arrive and how they use the site. Unless you accept analytics cookies this is anonymous: we can't tell who you are or recognise you on a later visit.
Technical Information: Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and details about your browser and device when you load a page, and keeps short-lived logs for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies: Small files stored on your device, set for analytics only if you accept them (see our Cookie Policy).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Reply to your message, and send you an automatic email confirming it arrived (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries)
Arrange classes and keep you informed about schedules and changes (to provide the classes you ask for)
Keep you safe during yoga practice (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time)
Understand how the website is used so we can improve it (our legitimate interests, and your consent for analytics cookies)
Protect the website and our contact form from spam and abuse (our legitimate interests)
Meet our legal obligations
We don't sell your personal information or use it for advertising, and we only send you news or offers if you've asked us to.
4. Who We Share It With
We use a small number of service providers to run this website. They handle personal information on our behalf and only as we instruct:
Brighton Bytes, who build and maintain the website and run its analytics.
Vercel, who host the website.
Resend, who deliver contact form messages to our inbox, and your confirmation email to you.
Cloudflare, who provide Turnstile, the spam check on our contact form (see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy).
Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. To check that a message comes from a person rather than a bot, Cloudflare processes your IP address and details about your browser. Cloudflare does not use this information for advertising.
Some of these providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. We also disclose information where the law requires it.
5. How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires, and then delete it.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. The website is served over an encrypted connection. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Object to or restrict processing of your information
Request transfer of your information
Withdraw consent at any time
